The CBSE date sheet for the 2027 Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations has not yet been released. The Board has also not announced the examination dates or confirmed when the timetable will be published. Students should rely only on notices posted on CBSE’s official website.
The normal-fee deadline for schools to submit the List of Candidates (LOC) ended on October 21, 2026. Schools can now submit the LOC with a late fee from October 22 to October 30, 2026. Students should promptly confirm with their schools that their personal details and subject choices have been entered correctly.
Last year, the normal-fee LOC deadline was September 30, 2025, followed by a late-fee submission period from October 3 to October 11, 2025. CBSE released the tentative date sheet for the 2026 examinations on September 24, 2025, and the final date sheet on October 30, 2025. These dates offer useful context, but CBSE has not confirmed a release date for the 2027 timetable.
What happened last year?
CBSE released the tentative date sheet for the 2026 examinations on September 24, 2025, followed by the final date sheet on October 30, 2025. The tentative schedule was issued before the normal-fee LOC deadline, while the final timetable arrived a month later.
The 2027 timetable could be announced during or after the current late-fee LOC window, but this remains an estimate based on last year’s sequence. CBSE has not made an official announcement.
What happens after the LOC submission?
Schools submit the LOC to confirm which students will appear in the examinations and the subjects they have chosen. After the submission window closes, examination preparations continue based on the candidate and subject information collected by the Board. CBSE has not said that the timetable will be released immediately after the LOC deadline.
The first date sheet will cover the main board examinations for Classes 10 and 12. Students should check their details with their schools and keep preparing while they wait for CBSE to publish the official schedule.
Class 10 students will have a second board examination
Under CBSE’s two-board-examination policy, introduced in line with the National Education Policy 2020, Class 10 students must appear in the first board examination. Eligible students can then use the second examination to improve their performance in up to three subjects. CBSE will issue a separate schedule for submitting the LOC for that second examination.
The policy and separate LOC process described here apply to Class 10 only. The current notice for the main 2027 examinations covers both Classes 10 and 12, but the second-examination policy should not be read as applying to Class 12.

Beware of misleading date sheet claims
Some websites and YouTube videos may claim that the CBSE date sheet has been released. Students should check which examination the notice is for before relying on it. CBSE’s circulars page currently lists a Class 12 special-examination date sheet for West Asia, dated October 9, 2026. It is not the main 2027 date sheet for Classes 10 and 12.
Until CBSE publishes the main timetable, claims that the 2027 date sheet is out should be treated as unverified. Students can check the Board’s official website for confirmed updates.
What details will the date sheet include?
The 2026 date sheet lists the examination date, day, timing, subject code and subject. Students can expect the 2027 timetable to provide the corresponding details for the new examination session.
For now, students should stay focused on their studies and follow their school’s revision plan. Once the official date sheet is released, they can check the confirmed schedule directly from CBSE.
